This is an exploration of words that I associate with Lewis Carroll’s book: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The result was a trajectory of eight words.
I presented this trajectory in the form of a board book. Alice became a pop-up doll in my book. Each page contained one or two removable “stickers” that can be placed on Alice. For example, one of my eight words was “chrysalis” and there was a removable image of a chrysalis that Alice could wear. I wanted Alice to physically transform and morph as metaphorically suggested in some of my eight words (see the last picture on this page).
